ULM College of Pharmacy receives $5,000 scholarship donation from CVS Pharmacy

The University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy received $5,000 from CVS Pharmacy Tuesday, Jan. 8 in the Bienville Building, located at 1800 Bienville Dr. The donation will fund scholarships for ULM pharmacy students.

College of Pharmacy Dean Lamar Pritchard said, "The CVS Corporation has been a very valuable partner for our program. CVS is committed to improving the future of our profession and has demonstrated this by providing scholarships that assist our professional students with the costs of their education.”

Each scholarship is awarded by the COP based upon recommendations by the College’s Scholarship Committee, chaired by the director of Student and Professional Affairs, Dr. Edwin Adams. The individual scholarships are awarded during the spring semester.

CVS Pharmacy Supervisor and ULM alumnus Bobby Munster is pleased that CVS has chosen to support pharmacy education and to promote the profession of pharmacy through the students. "We recognize that the students in pharmacy school have a great financial burden, and we are providing the scholarships, as they are the future of pharmacy."
