ULM United Way campaign exceeds goal

The University of Louisiana at Monroe on Wednesday exceeded its United Way goal of $51,500—another indicator of ULM faculty, students and staff coming together to give back to their community.

United Way of Northeast Louisiana serves 13 parishes in northeastern Louisiana, and relies on volunteers, donors, partner agencies and staff to achieve its goals.

The United Way of Northeast Louisiana's stated goals are to strengthen families, create bright futures for children, respond to crisis and achieve stability, and improve the health and fitness of the community it serves.

The local non-profit organization has been supporting health and human service programs in Ouachita Parish since 1956.
