ULM pharmacy graduate student receives travel grant to present in Paris

Vijayveer Bonthapally a graduate student in pharmacy administration, was awarded a $1,500 student travel grant to present his research at an international research society meeting in France.

Bonthapally will present at the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research's 12th Annual European Congress in Paris, Oct. 24-27.

Vijay developed two research abstracts under his advisor Dr. Harvey Rappaport, and will present the posters at the ISPOR conference.

The two accepted posters are "Indirect Comparison to Estimate the Efficacy of Interventions in Treatment of Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Mixed Treatment Comparison" and "Cost-Effectiveness and Budget Impact Analysis of Using Temsirolimus compared to Interferon Alpha in Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma."
