“Warhawk State of Mind” kicks into high gear with selection of ULM 2009 Homecoming Court

University of Louisiana at Monroe students are gearing up for a “Warhawk State of Mind” following Wednesday’s announcement of the final results for its 2009 Homecoming Court, following a tightly contested runoff to determine Homecoming King and Queen, along with Freshman Class President.

Seth Hall of Monroe captured the title of Homecoming King; the three Senior maids – one who will be crowned Homecoming Queen at this Friday's Homecoming Pep Rally – are Lindsey Eickman of Garland, Texas, Verlencia Jordan of Monroe and Kelsea McCrary of Bastrop.

Freshman maids Megan Boullard of Eunice and Lauren Carnahan of Minden; Sophomore maids Lauren Rosson of Portland, Ark., and Jessica Gilbert of West Monroe; and Junior maids Maggie Warren of Heflin and Chasline Fontenot of Mamou round out the Homecoming Court.

The Student Government Association election results are as follows: The referendum to renew student support fees was approved by nearly 62 percent of the student vote and the new Freshman Class President is Jaime Wallace of Bastrop. Elections for Senior, Junior and Sophomore Presidents are held later in the academic year.
