Seiler and Vangelisti to perform in benefit concert May 16 and May 23

Dr. Claire Vangelisti, voice area coordinator, and Dr. Richard Seiler, piano area coordinator in ULM’s Division of Music, will perform in concert at 4 p.m., May 16, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, located at 1901 Lexington Ave. in Monroe.

The duo will perform again at 4 p.m. on May 23, at Grace Episcopal Church, 405 Glenmar Ave., Monroe.

Vangelisti and Seiler are invited to co-present a lecture-recital at the Canadian University Music Society’s annual conference on June 3-6 at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. The Monroe performances are benefit concerts to help fund the Canadian trip.

Joined by guest pianist Hank Tharpe, the performances will range in styles from classical composers to contemporary arrangements to traditional hymns.
