ULM kicks off 2010 football season with cook-off and pep rally Sept. 23

The Office of Student Life and Leadership invites all ULM supporters to help kick off the 2010 ULM football season at a Cook-Off and Pep Rally to be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, in Bayou Park.

The event offers two categories for participant teams to enter: grilled food or desserts. Each team must prepare one dish for judging, and bite size samples must be provided for at least 25 people.

Teams must provide their own grills and supplies. Student life officials are hoping to host several faculty/staff teams for the event. All potential teams will setup and start cooking at 6:30 p.m., followed by judging of the two categories at 7 p.m. on Sept. 23.

Teams must be registered by 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20.

Free food will be provided by the Campus Activities Board and ULM Spirit Groups. ULM head football coach Todd Berry will speak and The Sound of Today Band, ULM cheerleaders, Hawkline and Ace will perform.

For any questions about the rally, please contact Joanie Williams at 318-342-5293 or jlwilliams@ulm.edu.

Cook-Off teams may register online by clicking this registration link.
