Faculty Artist Concert Series performance set for Feb. 21

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's School of Visual and Performing Arts offers the next Faculty Artist Concert Series on Monday, Feb. 21.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall, and is free and open to the public.

The concert series continues this season with a performance titled, "ULM Jazz Faculty and Friends," featuring four of ULM's distinguished music faculty.

Performing is Associate Professor Larry Anderson on drums, Alex Noppe, holder of the Biedenharn Chair of Music, guitarist and composer Dan Sumner, and Vocalist Dr. Claire Vangelisti.

The performance will offer the jazz aficionado a well-rounded serving of some contemporary and traditional jazz by composers such as Miles Davis, Randy Westin, Antonio Jobim and Charlie Parker. The faculty members will be joined by two guests performers, Tony Cortellini on flute, and Bach Norwood on bass.
