ULM National Pan-Hellenic Council stomps its way into annual stepshow April 9

The public and ULM campus family are invited to come support their favorite NPHC Chapters as the University of Louisiana at Monroe National Pan-Hellenic Council presents the largest annual stepshow in northeast Louisiana at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 9, in Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

This year's show will feature a band exhibition starting at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door for students with identification and may be purchased in the Office of Greek Life on the second floor of the Student Center.

Tickets for all others will be $15 at the door. Children five and under get in free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Each year, hundreds of families gather to watch ULM Greeks strut, stomp, and step their way to bragging rights as among the best in the state.

The 2011 edition will feature twice the performances, with appearances by fraternities and sororities such as Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sigma Gamma Rho, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Iota Phi Theta, and Zeta Phi Beta, as well as routines by local area step teams.

For the ninth consecutive year, the NPHC step-show will be co-hosted by Monroe's own comedian, Robert Powell, who has worked with other comedic greats such as D.L. Hughley, Rickey Smiley, and Cedric the Entertainer.
