On June 8, Robert Williamson will be inducted into the Louisiana Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame for serving over 30 years as an athletic trainer at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

The 2012 induction ceremony will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in West Monroe at 7 pm. Hollis Conway, Olympic Medal Winner, will deliver the keynote address for the evening.

Williamson's career began in 1977 as a student trainer, and in 1983 he became the university's full-time assistant trainer until 2008.

He is currently the executive director for ULM's L-Club and also an instructor of Kinesiology at ULM.

A native of Pineville, Williamson became a student at ULM, receiving his B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education in 1981 and then a master's degree in 1983.  He is married to the former Emily Eaves of Monroe, who also graduated from ULM.  Emily serves as the director of the university's Child Development Center.
