Tenth anniversary of Holidays at ULM has something for the entire family

Beginning at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, the annual Holidays at ULM celebration will take place on the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus in Scott Plaza and Brown Auditorium.

The public and campus family is invited to attend this fun-filled holiday celebration sponsored by the ULM Student Government Association.

ULM President Dr. Nick J. Bruno will start the holiday season at ULM with the always anticipated lighting of the Christmas tree.

He will be joined by a child from the Louisiana Baptist Children’s home.

Ace will visit the plaza and hand out treats for the children. Hot cocoa will also be provided.

After the lighting of the tree, the ULM Chamber singers will sing holiday carols and lead the crowd down an illuminated path through campus.

The celebration will then move inside to Brown Auditorium where revelers will enjoy a holiday concert, performed by the ULM Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Interdenominational Ensemble, and Concert Choir.

The concert song-list will include holiday favorites including, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Fanfare on Joy to the World,” and “A Hanukkah Festival.”

The event follows the annual Employee Holiday Reception in the ULM Conference Center from 3–5 p.m., hosted by the president and First Lady Linda Bruno.
