ULM names Baragona new HR director

Fred Baragona is the new Director of Human Resources at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Baragona worked for 26 years at T.L. James & Company, in Ruston, where he served as Director of Human Resources.

He also served as President of Associated Prevailing Wage Contractors in Ruston, and Director of Human Resources for Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home, also in Ruston.

Baragona is a former president of the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and former president of the North Central Louisiana Human Resource Association.

“I think  education is the most powerful tool we have for impacting the quality of life for humankind,” said Baragona.

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to support my staff and the employees of this university who are the instruments for making a positive change in the lives of students and in our communities."

Baragona received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University and is a certified retirement counselor, retirement administrator, and Notary Public.

He replaces Larry Estess, who is the new Director of Purchasing at ULM.
