To articulate and resolve concerns raised by faculty, students, and supporters regarding library collections and services. Also advises the Dean of the Library in areas related to overall library policy, planning, and operations for the University.

To prepare and recommend to the Vice President for Academic Affairs a comprehensive academic calendar.

To advise the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Vice President for Information Services and Student Success on issues of interest or concern to advisors and to continuous improvement of academic advising.

To oversee the Student Technology Access Plan to include the following: a. reviewing expenditures for essential items such as infrastructure, software maintenance, and electronic communications as described by the Information Technology Director; b. reviewing, rating, and recommending for funding other projects that propose the expenditure of STAP funds; c. responding to student concerns regarding the usage of the Student Technology Fee; d. making recommendations to the SGA regarding the amount of the Student Technology Fee, in accordance with House Bill 2339; e. providing to the SGA a biannual budget summary of the Student Technology Fee (by the fifteenth of November and the fifteenth of April), including all collections and disbursements; and f. Updating and modifying the Student Technology Access Plan.

To oversee the implementation and assessment of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). Develop a rotation policy.

To enforce policies and guidelines related to the use of all potentially hazardous biological agents and to ensure adherence to federal standards set for the handling of these agents. Develop a rotation policy.

To ensure that all faculty, staff, students and cooperators using ULM facilities adhere to the federal standards for the use of animals in research, teaching, and training.

To provide recommendations and advice on campus-wide information technology issues and oversee implementation of a campus information technology plan. Develop a rotation policy.

To make advisory recommendations to the Director of the Honors Program on courses and curriculum and to assist in the development of programmatic growth and standards.

To make advisory recommendations to the Director of the Graduate School on graduate programs and curriculum, formulation and implementation of Graduate School policies, and the establishment and enforcement of standards of graduate work.
