Gerontology Minor

This flexible 18-hour fully online program is open to all undergraduate students interested in learning how to recognize and address the concerns of our rapidly growing aging population.

 

What is an online Gerontology Minor?

A Gerontology Minor is a specialized add on undergraduate program designed for a student that is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisiana Monroe. This minor is aimed at students that are interested in adding focused knowledge and skills related to the field of gerontology. It is ideal for any student that will be working with older adults in healthcare, business, psychology, or public service. Having a minor in Gerontology can make you more marketable.

Required for Gerontology Minor:

 • GERO 2026 - Perspectives on Aging

• plus 15 hours of Gerontology electives
