2016 Panelist: Christine Wong Rambo

Christine Wong Rambo leads up the communication, PR and marketing strategies for North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP).

The regional economic development group is focused on growing the economy in the fourteen parishes of North Louisiana. NLEP works alongside many partners on business expansion and attraction; marketing; and workforce development and recruitment efforts. 

With 24 years of experience in communications, marketing, and economic development, Christine draws from her varied professional background in order to promote North Louisiana.  Christine previously led the communication/marketing efforts for the Louisiana Small Business Development Center Network, a statewide group of ten centers assisting small business owners and entrepreneurs. 

Before that, she worked 12 years as a broadcast anchor and reporter: for KTBS, the ABC affiliate in Shreveport, La.; for KNOE, the CBS affiliate in Monroe, La.; and WBFF, the Fox affiliate in Baltimore, MD.

Christine earned three Louisiana Associated Press Awards for her featuring writing and investigative journalism and was instrumental in earning a national RTNDA journalism award for her station, KTBS.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from The American University in Washington, D.C.  She is currently pursuing her Certified Economic Developers designation and earning her MBA from the University of Louisiana Monroe.

Christine lives in West Monroe, Louisiana with her husband, Judge Wilson Rambo and their two children Shelby, age 12, and Jarred, age 11.

She is very active in her community, volunteering for various nonprofit organizations, including the Twin City Ballet Board, the Junior League of Monroe and the Silver Waters Girl Scouts Board.
