2016 Panelist: Dr. Jana Sutton

 

Dr. Jana Sutton is Program Director of Marriage & Family Therapy and Counseling Studies at the University of Louisiana Monroe.

She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, State Approved Supervisor and AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy) Approved Supervisor. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and State Approved Supervisor.

Dr. Sutton has written and presented extensively on systemic approaches to family therapy and supervision.

Her areas of expertise include couple’s therapy, substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, self-harm, and women’s issues both in general and with-in the field of family therapy.

Dr. Sutton is a regular presenter on topics such as self-care, avoiding burn-out and depression, and maintaining a home-work balance.

Dr. Sutton is a Past President of the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
