Beginning Freshmen

where to start...

1. Submit the online Application for Admission and application fee.

2. Request that ULM receive your official scores (ACT code for ULM is 1598, SAT code for ULM is 6482) and official high school transcript*.

3. Submit completed Proof of Immunization form.

4. Check your new "warhawks.ulm.edu" student email account regularly for financial aid and other information. Log in at my.ULM.edu.

ACT/SAT scores are required for admissions and scholarship consideration. Only official scores directly delivered electronically from SAT or ACT will be accepted (paper copies will not be processed, unless received directly from ACT/SAT if no electronic copy is available). To register for a test or to request your scores be sent to ULM, see the information below.

*Unaccredited Louisiana High School and home-schooled students must submit an official transcript of grades and official proof of graduation or bring the original diploma to the Admissions Office. GED students must submit their official test scores to the Admissions Office, fax to 318-342-1915 or email docman@ulm.edu.

2. Earn 2.35 minimum overall high school GPA

3. Require no more than one developmental course by meeting one of the following:

 ACT English -or- 18 18
 SAT English -or- 450  n/a 
 SAT Writing/Language  n/a  25
 ACT Mathematics -or- 19 19
 SAT Mathematics 460 500 or 25

4. AND meet one of the following requirements

2.0 minimum core GPA

ACT minimum composite of 21

Students are encouraged to apply for admission to ULM even if they do not meet the above requirements. Such applications are reviewed on an individual basis to determine the likelihood of the applicant’s success at ULM. Please contact ULM’s Office of Admissions at 318-342-5430 to discuss your application’s review. If the student is not admitted after a review, the applicant may submit an Appeal of Admission form.
