This year long project was a retrospective review evaluating the use of a scoring system to determine patients at low risk for Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus in Community Acquired Pneumonia. 
Work Experience: I have worked for Fred's Pharmacy for 8 years both as a technician, pharmacy student, and now as a PRN pharmacist.
I work as a PRN clinical pharmacist at St. Dominic's.

Dr. Khalid El Sayed Name: Khalid El Sayed

Clinical/Research Interest: Anticancer drug discovery based on natural products including herbals, marine and microbial bioactive secondary metabolite. We use molecular modeling/computer-aided drug design and advanced pharmacology, in addition to traditional natural products chemistry to optimize the activity and selectivity of our anticancer natural products. Examples of current projects in the laboratory are the optimization of olive phenolics as c-Met inhibitors, supported by the National Cancer Institute. We also study endophytic fungi in olive tree,  lichens phenolic acids, Red Sea sponges as a source for breast cancer inhibitory scaffolds.
Work Experience: I have been working as practicing retail pharmacist 1983-1986 overseas, where I was doing several traditional compounding products
Hobbies: I enjoy watching soccer and I am a fan of Chelsa and Real Madrid, in the British and Spanish leagues.  I also enjoy cooking Middle Eastern food, including falafl and Mesaka!
  My daughter, Raghda, was a ULM 2009 PharmD. graduate and my son, Moustafa, graduated ULM Biology 2012 and currently in the second year of LSUHSC- Shreveport Medical School. This made me know how it feels for professional students as a parent before being a faculty member.
