You can still cheer, dance, sing, and play in college. At the University of Louisiana Monroe, all majors are invited to audition for our Spirit Groups (Cheer, Hawkline, and Ace the Mascot) and School of Visual and Performing Arts groups (a variety of dance, choral, and instrumental ensembles). Plus, all full-time students in good standings involved in these groups receive scholarships, stipends, or grants to help pay for school.
All majors are invited to audition for instrumentalists, drum line, and color guard. If selected, you may qualify for a Talent Grant to help pay for college, no matter your major.
Audition dates in 2025 are November 15 during High School Band Day. Audition dates in 2026 are January 30, February 6 during the ULM Honor Band Festival, and February 20. Drumline and guard auditions are to be announced. Students unavailable during those dates may be eligible to schedule a different date or submit a video audition. Contact Dr. Allen Parrish with questions regarding the Sound of Today Marching Band. For all other questions, email Dr. Nicholas Bratcher or call 318.342.3811.
