The Environmental, Health & Safety Office promotes and assists the University community in maintaining a safe workplace and ensures compliance with federal and state safety regulations and reporting.
The EHS Office is composed of the following elements:
- Louisiana State Fire Marshal's inspections
- Life Safety Systems such as Halon inspections, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishers
- Environmental Programs such as Radiation, Asbestos, and Bloodborne Pathogens
- Quarterly safety training and annual fire drills
