On January 28, 2016, the Staff Senate and the Faculty Senate formally opposed proposed budget cuts to higher education.

Guns On Campus

On March 23, 2009, the Staff Senate joined with ULM President James E. Cofer, the ULM Faculty Senate, and the Student Government Association to formally oppose Louisiana HB 27, which would allow licensed, concealed weapons on university campuses.
