Request an Appeal
             
            The ULM Sexual Misconduct Policy affords both the complainant and respondent the opportunity
               to appeal the decision as a result of a Hearing on cases involving alleged sexual
               misconduct and power-based violence. Detailed information regarding the appeal process
               can be found in ULM' Sexual Misconduct and Power-Based Violence Grievance Procedures.
            Appeals are limited to the following grounds:
            Process A:
            
               - Procedural irregularity that affected the outcome of the matter;
  
               - New evidence that was not reasonably available at the time the determination regarding
                  responsibility or dismissal was made, that could affect the outcome of the matter;
                  and
  
               - The Title IX Coordinator, Investigator(s), or Decision-maker(s) had a conflict of
                  interest or bias for or against Complainants or Respondents generally or the specific
                  Complainant or Respondent that affected the outcome of the matter.
 
            
            Process B:
            
               - Procedural irregularity that affected the outcome of the matter;
  
               - New evidence that was not reasonably available at the time the determination regarding
                  responsibility or dismissal was made, that could affect the outcome of the matter;
                  and
  
               - The Title IX Coordinator, Investigator(s), or Decision-maker(s) had a conflict of
                  interest or bias for or against Complainants or Respondents generally or the specific
                  Complainant or Respondent that affected the outcome of the matter;
  
               - The decision was not supported by a preponderance of evidence;
  
               - The sanctions were disproportionate to the findings.
