Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program is a nationally recognized program offering a curriculum that blends theory with practice. It is designed to meet the needs of mid-career professionals who want the highest professional certifications in their career. The Ed.D. program is nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). 

The Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction program prepares scholars in the domains of curriculum, teaching, teacher education, and/or educational policy at the K-12 or college level, for local, state, regional, or national agencies. 

There are five 8-week sessions of coursework in a year. Students are admitted for every 8-week session.

In this 100% online program, on-campus residency is NOT required. Students take courses and comprehensive written exams online. Online video conferencing is used for the comprehensive oral exam, proposal defense, dissertation defense, and other meetings.
