The University of Louisiana Monroe's Composer-in-Residence program strives to connect faculty and students with the contemporary voices of music creation. The yearly residency includes three days of masterclasses, lectures, and rehearsals with the visiting composer. While working closely with ULM performers, composers, and conductors from both the faculty and student body, composers are able to generate a deeper understanding of their music and contemporary music as a whole. Established in 2016 the program continues to inspire students and faculty of ULM in their quest to be a part in the current dialogue about the arts and where they are going.
