Jacquelyn Tabone, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Louisiana Monroe,
where she teaches undergraduate and graduate coursework in music education. A native
of Florida, Dr. Tabone taught middle school band in Central Florida and continues
to serve as a clinician and consultant for instrumental ensembles at the middle school,
high school, and independent levels.
Dr. Tabone earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Florida Atlantic University and both her Master’s and Ph.D. in Music Education from Florida State University. She is an active researcher, clinician, and adjudicator. Her research has been published in The Florida Music Director, and presented at National NAfME, Desert Skies Research Symposium, and state MEA conventions. Her research interests include music teacher education, empathy, mentorship, and topics related to public school music programs. She has presented her work at both state and national conferences.
Dr. Tabone is a Vic Firth Educational Artist and holds memberships in NAfME, Pi Kappa Lambda, and Kappa Kappa Psi.
