The competition will take place in May 2014 in Lafayette.

Ahead of the competition, Noble’s work will be on exhibit at The Lounge Gallery in Lafayette in March and April, 2014.

Noble’s black and white photographs taken in Berlin, Paris and London throughout 2013 were among the works accepted, as well as her “Rectilinear” series of acrylic on canvas paintings which Noble has executed over the past two years.

Jeffery McCullough, Curator, stated, “Of the 27 new artists applying for a spot in the 2014 Big Easel, only five received across the board ‘YAYs’ from the seven jurors…So to get a YAY from all seven jurors means your work is outstanding.”

In addition to this competition, Noble’s work has also been accepted in two other juried shows sponsored by the St. Tammany Art Association.

Noble earned a BFA from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM), an MFA in photography from Louisiana Tech University and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in art education from The University of Texas at Austin.

She began teaching at ULM in 1997.
