ULM to host Region III fairs March 11 and 13

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will host the Region III Science and Engineering Fair, beginning at noon, on Tuesday, March 11; and the Region III Social Studies Fair beginning at 8:30 a.m., on Thursday, March 13. Both will be held at ULM’s Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Science and Engineering Fair March 11:

The Region III Science and Engineering Fair is divided into two categories.

The senior category is open to students in ninth to 12th-grade, and the junior category is open to students in fourth to eighth-grade. Public viewing of projects is from 12-2:30 p.m., with the awards ceremony starting at 2:30 p.m.

Social Studies Fair March 13:

ULM will also host the Region III Social Studies Fair for the 48th consecutive year. The fair will bring nearly 400 students from fourth to 12th-grade.   

Participants include students from various parishes across northeastern Louisiana. The fair is divided into three divisions.

Division I is open to fourth and fifth-grade students, Division II is open to sixth and eighth-grade students, and Division III is open to ninth through 12th-grade students.

The public is invited to view student projects from 12:30-1:30 p.m., and attend the awards ceremony from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
