LSBDC at ULM and Downtown Alliance partner for workshop series

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at the University of Louisiana at Monroe has partnered with the Downtown Monroe Alliance to launch an all-new workshop series for small businesses in downtown Monroe.

The “Summer Success Series” is a five-part lunch and learn workshop series that is specifically designed to help small businesses in downtown Monroe grow and expand.

Leading business experts will be on hand to discuss sales, market research, growth strategies, competition and marketing.

Sessions are as follows:

Beginning at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, May 8, the Summer Success Series will present “Developing a Winning Sales Strategy,” with speaker Virendra (VC) Chhikara.

The event will be held at River and Rail Cantina, located at 201 Walnut Street in downtown Monroe.

Chhikara will also present “Catching & Keeping Customers,” at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, June 12, at River and Rail Cantina, located at 201 Walnut Street in downtown Monroe.

At 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 10, Barry Parker will present “Understanding Your Competition” at River and Rail Cantina located at 201 Walnut Street in downtown Monroe.

Parker will also present “Positioning Your Business for Growth” at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 7, at River and Rail Cantina, located at 201 Walnut Street in downtown Monroe.

Na’Tisha Natt will close the series with “Marketing in the Digital Age,” at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 18, at River and Rail Cantina, located at 201 Walnut Street in downtown Monroe.

Space is limited, therefore pre-registration is strongly recommended. Participants will be responsible for the cost of their meal.
