Published March 25, 2015

Various entities from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and the surrounding community will hold a joint forum on higher education at 10 a.m., Monday, March 30, in the ULM Conference Center, located on the seventh floor of the ULM Library.

The event is collaboratively hosted by the ULM Student Government Association; and the ULM faculty and staff senates.

The panel will include ULM Faculty Senate President, Dr. Joshua Stockley; Staff Senate President, Michael Davis; Student Government Association President, Adrian Lejeune; various local state legislators; and business and community leaders.

The forum will highlight the importance of ULM—and higher education as a whole—in regards to workforce and economic development.

The panel will also discuss the potential impact of additional cuts to higher education, solutions to avoid additional cuts, and state legislators’ plans to protect and fund higher education in the upcoming session.
