The University of Louisiana Monroe invites you to hear from Matt Viator, the University’s next head football coach, pending board approval, at a press conference tomorrow, Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. in the south end zone of Malone Stadium.

One of the most successful coaches in the NCAA’s FCS division, Viator has guided the Cowboys to winning seasons in every year he was at the helm and is one of three head coaches in school history to never post a losing season. He is widely known as one of the most respected college coaches in the state of Louisiana. Coach Viator has been a winner throughout his entire career.

He’s the only coach in Southland Conference history to have a winning season each year in his career with a minimum of eight seasons under his belt. In his ten seasons, Viator has compiled a 78-33 record for a winning percentage of .703. He’s recorded a league mark of 54-18 (.750), has won four conference championships and made five FCS playoff appearances, including a second round showing in 2013 and 2015.
