MONROE, LA – ULM’s Radiologic Technology program students and faculty recently represented the
university at the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (LSRT) Midwinter Seminar
in Alexandria, LA on March 11, 2023.
Senior students participated in a mock exam and critical area review lectures. Andrew
Frazier earned the third-highest score on the mock exam out of 99 participants. The
junior students participated in interactive events to help build networking and professional
skills, study skills for their learning style, and strengthen critical thinking skills.
Junior students also participated in a student bee. Avery Free placed second, and
Jaden Book placed third overall in the student bee.
ULM Faculty were also recognized for their contributions to the LSRT. Mr. Brett Bennett,
the ULM Radiologic Technology Program Director and Associate Professor, presented
a critical area review lecture on image production. Dr. Andy Allen, the ULM Radiologic
Technology Clinical Coordinator and Associate Professor, presented a critical area
review lecture on patient care. Mrs. Brittany Smith, an instructor in the Radiologic
Technology program, serves as the LSRT Louisiana Educators in Radiologic Sciences
(LERS) council chairperson and organized/hosted the senior program for the event.
Mrs. Lacy Davis, an Associate Professor in the ULM Radiologic Technology program assisted
and facilitated fellow educators in the junior program.
