MONROE, LA – The University of Louisiana Monroe hosted the 71st annual Region III Science and Engineering Fair on February 28, 2025. The fair featured 85 projects from 106 students representing nine schools across the region. First-place winners in each division were eligible to compete in the state fair. The event provides students with an opportunity to hone their science skills and connect with peers to share what they are learning.

“It’s exciting to see these young students enjoying science activities and showcasing their creativity and hard work,” said Science Fair Committee Co-Chair and ULM Assistant Professor of Mathematics Dr. Jane Ji. “It’s also great to see our ULM faculty from science programs generously donate their time to serve as judges for the science fair, showing young local students that there is a place for them to grow at ULM,” she added.
