The Toxicology Asbestos and Mold Analysis Laboratory is housed in Sugar Hall on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Sugar Hall is located adjacent to the flagpoles on University Drive (right of George T. Walker Hall). The lab is on the second floor, room 201. Take a left after ascending the main stairwell, and the lab is the second door to the left.
The lab is designed specifically for bulk asbestos analysis by polarized light microscopy
(PLM) (EPA Method 600). PLM Gravimetry and Point Counting available on bulk or multiple
layered samples. Price quotes are available upon request. Discounts may be given
for multiple samples which are submitted at the same time. Rush Services are available
upon request at a surcharge. Instrumentation: State of the art Olympus BX53-P Polarizing Light Microscope fitted with a PAXcam digital camera, Olympus CK40 Culture Microscope, Olympus SZ51 Zoom Stereo Microscope, Thermo Scientific Thermolyne Benchtop Muffle Furnace, and a Mettle XP205 Analytical Balance. |
