On behalf of the faculty, students, and staff, welcome to the University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy. Our school celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2016 and has maintained a tradition of excellence in pharmacy education since its founding in 1956.
We are proud to be educating the next generation of pharmacists. The College of Pharmacy has an innovative curriculum that integrates basic sciences and practice sciences core concepts, interprofessional education, and technology. Our curriculum is challenging, but we know our students are prepared for a successful career upon graduation.
Our outstanding faculty, preceptors, and staff members are dedicated to facilitating student realization of their full potential. This dedication is exemplified by our research faculty in the Ph.D. Graduate Program continuing to demonstrate a commitment to cooperative and collaborative research. This commitment to collaboration allows their graduate students to be exposed to a multitude of methodologies and techniques that would not be possible otherwise.
Graduates of our educational programs are well prepared to start their professional careers. Over 90% of our Pharm.D. students have acquired positions within the pharmacy profession at graduation, including 14% of graduates who have successful received commitments to start residencies and/or fellowships. Ph.D. graduates of the ULM Graduate Program in Pharmacy are also in demand. We have seen recent graduate placement in academia, government affairs, large and start up pharmaceutical companies, and consulting. Demand for these highly trained, motivated graduates is expected to grow as opportunities for employment are expanding.
