With 150 semester credit hours, students enrolled in the Accounting/Computer Information Systems double degree program can earn B.B.A. degrees in both Accounting and Computer Information Systems. Separately, each major represents one of the most often demanded by employers, with strong starting salaries for graduates. Together, the degrees work in perfect harmony.
Technology is integral to accounting, the information systems of business, and the accountant's work with the information systems. CINS professionals, on the other hand, are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the information systems. Students completing the double degree program will have the hours necessary to sit for the CPA exam, will have a broad range of employment opportunities available to them, will be in demand in both the accounting and information technology fields, and will likely draw premium salaries from their employers.
