The ULM Department of Computer Science is proud to announce that a student team has won the DevDays HealthTech Challenge, hosted by Nexus Louisiana in partnership with Ochsner Health. Kneva, the winning team composed of computer science students Yukta Karki, SianRose Vincent, and Nirjara KC, was awarded a $5,000 prize at the competition in Baton Rouge on November 14.

Carbon Horizon, the winning team composed of computer science students Cecil Pradhan, Jeevan Parajuli, Sujal Thapa, and Prasanna Kumar Jha, was awarded a $5,000 prize at the competition in Baton Rouge on October 24.
The University of Louisiana Monroe College of Business and Social Sciences presents the Business Outlook Summit 2025 on Friday, November 14, at Bayou Pointe Event Center, 1 Warhawk Way in Monroe. The Business Outlook Summit provides an economic forecast of the nation, region, and state, intended to help guide the community and business leaders as they head into 2026. The event is sponsored by the Biomedical Research and Innovation Park (BRIP).

The theme for 2025 is "Superpowers: Discover Yours, Transform the World." The event will feature keynote speaker Jim Davidson, an elevator pitch competition, a career fair, a cookout, the annual CBSS Brain Bowl, and many speaker sessions covering a wide range of topics.
