CMSA- Construction Management Student Association

Mission statement: Our mission is to expose CMSA members to the field of construction and to provide quality activities promoting leadership and unification.

The ULM School of Construction Management CMSA is an organization made up of four groups including the Associated General Contractors (AGC), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). It is comprised of and oriented around construction students. The two main purposes of the CMSA are to initiate student careers and to have fun.

Here is how the CMSA can benefit you: For incoming freshmen, the CMSA is a good place to meet other construction students and to learn what the School of Construction is about.

For sophomores and juniors, the CMSA is a great opportunity to get ready for your career. You can get involved with trade organizations, student competitions, and many other activities. CMSA activities will help you get involved and noticed by construction companies. As students approach graduation, the more involved they are, the more job offers they receive.

Every year the CMSA sends representatives to the national conventions. Students willing to put forth a little effort can easily be involved in these activities. CMSA members also want to have some fun. There will be a tailgate party sponsored by the CMSA, annual fund raising events, hamburger cookouts, a spring crawfish boil, flag football, and other activities.
