APhA’s Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate training program is based on national educational standards for immunization training from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This practice-based curriculum represents a fusion of science and clinical pharmacy. The program, which emphasizes a health care team approach, seeks to foster the implementation of interventions that will promote disease prevention and public health. The purpose of this certificate training program is to prepare pharmacists with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to provide immunization services to patients across the life span.

The APhA Certificate Training Program hosted by the ULM College of Pharmacy will be offered in a virtual format. Zoom Video Conferencing will be used to deliver the live session.
By registering for this program, you agree to participate in the live portion of the course by using active video and audio feed through your computer or audio device. Additionally, you agree to obtain your own supplies for injection technique skills assessment, complete the skills assessment in a human arm, and be assessed by someout outside of faculty who has the scope of practice to immunize. Credit for completion of the certificate program will only be granted to participants who complete the self-study requirements, are verified as physically present throughout the duration of the live session, complete the skills process with a passing assessment, and receive a passing score on the online post-test.
Submit registration by June 20, 2023 ➡ Complete self-study modules and exam by June 28, 2023 ➡ Attend virtual live training on June 29, 2023 ➡ Complete injection technique assessment by July 6, 2023 ➡ Complete final exam and evaluation and claim certificate by July 13, 2023

Live seminar – Join ULM College of Pharmacy faculty via Zoom on June 29, 2023 from 8 AM to 5 PM to complete the live seminar (all participants will be provided with a link)
Completed and signed injection technique assessment and outside assessor forms must be returned to the program coordinator no later than July 6, 2023.
Attendance code redemption and final exam and evaluation – Upon successful completion of the injection technique assessment and the Injection Technique Assessment Forms, you will be emailed a code to redeem which will give you access to the final exam and live seminar evaluation. Once the exam and evaluation are completed, you can claim credit and access your certificate of achievement. These steps must be completed by July 13, 2023.

The American Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The home-study portion of the Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate training program is approved for 12 contact hours (1.2 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit (UAN: 0202-0000-23-155-L06-P). The live training seminar is approved for 8 contact hours (0.8 CEU) of continuing pharmacy education credit (UAN 0202-9999-23-155-L06-P).

Expiration date: March 31, 2026 - PLEASE NOTE: NO Home Study credit granted after this date; Live Credit can only be granted within 60 days from the day of the seminar attended.
To obtain credit for "Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery" complete home study activities, complete both home study and final assessments with a grade of 70% or better, attend the live seminar, successfully complete the injection technique assessment, complete the evaluation, and CLAIM credit. To obtain credit, the Learner must CLAIM credit once each component is completed. Once credit is claimed, Transcripts of CPE will be available online within 24 hours on the Learner’s CPE Monitor profile. The Certificate of Achievement will be available online upon successful completion of the necessary activity requirements on the participant’s “My Training” page on www.pharmacist.com.
