ULM Students have a year of impressive accomplishments

University of Louisiana Monroe students made some impressive accomplishments during the 2018-19 year. Individuals and teams demonstrated their distinctive skills and talents in activities from mock trials to fishing tournaments. Warhawk students have the will to win and the discipline to do the work necessary to reach their goals.

ULM Online graduate programs ranked among best in the nation

Several ULM Online graduate programs have earned high rankings by organizations which recognize and evaluate quality higher education programs. "ULM Online is proud to support online students and faculty in these programs. The faculty do an outstanding job innovating online courses and engaging students at a distance. This type of recognition speaks to the high quality and strength of ULM's Online programs," said Katie Dawson, Interim Director of ULM Online.

June 3 - June 17 - Late application period for August degree conferral
June 3 - Classes begin for Summer I Session and Summer full-term
June 18 - Final date for dropping courses or resigning from the University with a grade of "w" for Summer I Session
June 14 - Final date for filing field study, thesis, or dissertation with Graduate Advisory Committee
June 27 - Comprehensive exam results due to Graduate School for thesis and dissertation students
June 28 - Final date for filing field study, thesis, or dissertation with Graduate School

July 1- Classes begin for Summer II
July 4 - 5  Independence Day Holiday
July 8 - Final date for dropping courses or resigning from the University with a grade of "w" for Summer full-term 
July 8 - Final date to apply to register in absentia for Fall 2019
July 22 -
Final date for dropping courses or resigning from the University with a grade of "w" for Summer II Session
July 29
- Final date to apply for December 2019 Commencement
July 30 - Comprehensive exam results due to Graduate School for non-thesis students

Role of Hindbrain Adenosine 5′-Monophosphate-Activated Protein Kinase (AMPK) in Hypothalamic AMPK and Metabolic Neuropeptide Response to Acute and Recurring Insulin-Induced Hypoglycemia

Dr. Abu Bakar Siddique, a recent ULM graduate from the College of Pharmacy, won a nationally competitive research award, the Kilmer Prize, offered jointly by the American Society of Pharmacognosy and American Pharmacists Association for the 2019 award year.

Achyut Dahal, a graduate research assistant for Dr. Seetharama Jois in the ULM College of Pharmacy, won the Thomas Lemke Outstanding poster award at the 46th  annual MALTO (Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma) Medicinal Chemistry meeting that was held May 20-22, 2019 in Memphis Tennesse.
