Most fine art procedures create one original image. Printmaking involves the production
of multiple images through lithography, serigraphy, intaglio and relief processes.
Each print can be as delicate as a Rembrandt etching, as bold as a woodcut or as dynamic
as a contemporary silkscreen. Printmakers enjoy not only the expressive flexibility
of image development in the creation of their art, but also the marketability of producing
many copies of each work.
ULM printmakers learn and work in one of the finest studios in north Louisiana; it
houses several lithographic, etching and relief presses, as well as the necessary
support equipment, to create traditional or exotic printed images.
