Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Education

Practitioner License Program

The post-baccalaureate program is an online one-year alternative teacher certification program that prepares teacher candidates who have earned a bachelor’s degree in a content area outside of the field of education to pursue teaching certification while serving as a teacher of record and completing program coursework.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university 
• 2.20 GPA or higher in undergraduate coursework
• Passing score on PRAXIS CONTENT EXAM (Contact us to confirm PRAXIS exam code)
• Application through ULM Undergraduate Admissions

OTHER INFORMATION

The academic program consists of 8 courses (24 credit hours) over three semesters (summer, fall, & spring). The PRAXIS PLT-Principles of Learning & Teaching exam is required for certification.
 
The cost of the academic program is $250 per credit hour. Tuition is paid per semester, based on ULM policy. Payment plans are available through Student Account Services. Financial Aid is available upon qualification.
 
Fees for certification, licensure, and background checks are not included in tuition.
