ULM Scholarship Office
The ULM Scholarship Office assists students in searching for, awarding, and processing ULM scholarships. Certain scholarships are available only to incoming freshmen, while others are available to all ULM students who meet eligibility requirements.

Freshman Academic Scholarships
- Priority application deadline for admission is February 15, 2026.

Scholastic Transfer Awards

Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship
- ULM offers the Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship to first-time, full-time freshmen
and transfer students who qualify. This fee waiver is valued at $6,050 per semester,
or $12,100 per year.

ULM Foundation Scholarships
- The ULM Foundation offers hundreds of scholarships funded by private donors and alumni.
- The ULM Foundation scholarship application is open throughout the month of February.

Academic Common Market Waiver
- The Academic Common Market is an interstate agreement between the states comprising
the Southern Regional Education Board that allows for sharing academic programs through
an exchange of students across state lines. If an academic program is not offered
in one of these states, a student may be able to attend ULM and be exempt from out-of-state
fees if certain criteria are met.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities
Honors Program
The Honors Program is open to all undergraduate domestic and international students.
Honors Program students work closely with Honors Faculty allowing students to explore
topics in more depth. The program is open to all majors and offers various options
while working within the degree.

Graduate Assistantships
A limited number of graduate assistantships are available each academic year. These
positions are awarded by individual departments and are the only university funding
available to graduate students. Please visit the Graduate School page or call 318-342-1036.
Talent Scholarships
The School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) offers students from all majors talent grants in the areas of music, dance, theater
and art. These performance-based awards are competitive and limited in number. Students wishing to audition should contact the appropriate department or the VAPA office at (318) 342-3811.
